Event Strategy Blueprint

A clear purpose. A thoughtful concept. A practical plan.

Have an event idea but need to know whether it’s the right investment?

For nonprofits, associations and businesses considering a fundraiser, conference or corporate event, this focused engagement helps you evaluate the opportunity and define the event before committing to production.

I bring together your goals, audience, resources and financial considerations to recommend an approach that makes sense for your organization.

Your engagement includes:

  • Input from up to six stakeholders through a shared questionnaire.

  • A facilitated strategy workshop to clarify purpose, priorities and success measures.

  • Comparison of up to two event formats.

  • A recommended concept outlining the audience, guest experience and core program.

  • A preliminary budget with revenue and expense assumptions, including a break-even view where relevant.

  • Key milestones, responsibilities and decisions required to move forward.

  • A presentation of your completed blueprint and one consolidated revision.

You’ll leave with a clear recommendation and an event blueprint your organization can use to make an informed decision and begin planning.

Typical timeline: three to four weeks.

This engagement covers strategy and concept development for one event. Supplier sourcing, bookings, registration management and event delivery can be scoped as a separate engagement.

Strengthen how a defined event earns income.

For nonprofits and associations with an internal delivery team.

Assess tickets, sponsorship and donations using supplied historical results and budget data. Receive revenue scenarios, pricing recommendations, sponsorship architecture, a fundraising journey and implementation priorities. Includes three meetings.

Typical timeline: four to five weeks.

One consolidated revision. Sponsor sales, donor asks, benefit fulfilment and campaign copy production are excluded.

Final fees are confirmed in your proposal based on scope.

Conference & Corporate Event Management

Strategic planning. Experienced leadership. Seamless delivery.

For organizations that want an experienced event lead to bring their conference or corporate event together from the first planning conversation through event day and the post-event debrief.

I serve as your project lead, managing the plan, budget, timeline and supplier coordination while keeping your team informed and involved in key decisions. Planning is primarily remote, with on-site leadership agreed as part of your proposal.

Your engagement includes a master event plan, budget tracker, program timeline, run of show, event-day leadership and post-event debrief, with up to eight planning calls and two rounds of document revisions.

Typical timeline: three to five months.

On-site days, travel and accommodation are confirmed in your proposal. Audiovisual production, speaker recruitment, registration staffing and attendee support are scoped separately, with specialist suppliers and staff coordinated as needed.

Signature Event Full Production

Exceptional events. Thoughtfully imagined. Personally led.

Thrive’s premier offering brings together creative direction, fundraising strategy and full event production to create a distinctive experience with a clear purpose.

For organizations envisioning a signature fundraiser or brand event, I lead the process from concept through delivery shaping the guest experience, assembling and directing the production team, and bringing every element together.

Your engagement includes a creative and strategic brief, event concept, guest experience design, production plan, operating budget, supplier coordination, fundraising integration where relevant, on-site leadership and a post-event report.

A limited number of signature projects are accepted each year, allowing for focused attention throughout planning and production.

Each proposal reflects your vision, event complexity, production requirements and level of support. Planning typically begins five to eight months before the event.

Projects are selected based on fit, an approved event budget, a designated decision-maker and mutually agreed planning and event dates.

The proposal clearly separates Thrive’s professional fee from venue, supplier, crew, equipment, permit and travel costs. Clients fund supplier commitments directly. Fundraising revenue and attendance cannot be guaranteed.

Tell me what your event needs to achieve, your preferred date and location, expected attendance, total event budget and budget for strategic or management support.

Include your internal decision maker and any local delivery team already in place. We can then assess fit and agree on the right scope.
